To celebrate the grand finale of the 2024 CK Reads program, CKPL will be hosting CK Reads author, Kai Thomas for a visit at CKPL's Chatham Branch on Wednesday, April 24 at 6:00 pm. Kai Thomas will be in conversation with Heather Robbins from Buxton National Historic Site and Museum. Registration is not required. Thanks to the Rotary Club of Chatham for sponsoring CKPL's 2024 CK Reads program. CKPL's 2024 CK Read's title is "In the Upper Country" by Kai Thomas. Pick up a copy of "In the Upper Country" at any CKPL branch or borrow it from our Virtual Library. Copies of "In the Upper Country" will be available for purchase at the event.

Care Partner Support Groups are an opportunity for self-care and are available to all care partners that are affected by Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. Care partners can share experiences, learn new coping strategies and take time for one self.
We are currently offering two support groups:
In-person - First Wednesday of every month from 1-2:30pm at the Chatham-Kent Community Health Centres in Chatham
Online - Third Tuesday of every month from 1-2:30pm on Zoom
