This week's episode of "YourTV History" goes back 21 years to June 22, 1998, to the 4th annual Randy Burridge Golf Classic! Current and former NHL'ers, including a few teammates of Randy's from The Buffalo Sabres, helped Randy and his committee raise over $15,000 for The Brain Injury Association of Fort Erie.
It was June 1998 when "Up Yer Kilt", one of Niagara's most popular party bands, did four shows on June 21st - the summer solstice. Follow them from gig to gig as we go back 21 years for this week's look back at some YourTV history.
The Niagara Falls Comic Con takes place this weekend at The Scotiabank Convention Centre! YourTV will broadcasting live on site Saturday starting at 2PM, with hosts Andrew Vandersteen and Andrew Kekenj. We thought it would be neat to take a look back to July 2011, for the first ever Niagara Comic Con held on Clifton Hill.
This week's episode of "YourTV History" takes you back to Kingsbridge Park in Chippawa in June 2002 for the first ever International Food Festival at The Falls!
This episode of "YourTV History" visits Lakeshore Catholic High School in Port Colborne for a charity fashion show put on by the students and staff. We're not too sure of time period on this segment - feel free to comment if you were there and know when this was held!
This week's "YourTV History" goes back to the spring of 1998, as Niagara prepared for it's first ever Niagara Film Festival! Part of the theme for the Festival was "Marilyn Monroe", and a Marilyn Monroe Look-Alike Contest was held to find a spokesperson for the inaugural event.
On this week episode of "YourTV History", we go back to a Source report at the groundbreaking of Welland's new City Hall! This was sometime in the summer of 2003 - 16 years later and the building still looks great!
With YourTV's coverage of St. Catharines Jr. A Lacrosse starting in May, we thought we would take a look back to a 2003 story done on The St. Catharines Girls Under 15 Lacrosse Team practising at Pearson Park in St. Catharines as they prepared for the Provincials.
