The Windsor Essex Care for Kids Foundation and the Windsor Spitfires Foundation have teamed up to bring Nashville to Windsor! On Friday August 16 th the two locally focused charities will host the Annual Black Tie Tailgate fundraiser, with Nashville country music star Jake Maurer as the headliner at Beach Grove Golf & Country Club. The Black Tie Tailgate is supported Windsor’s community and business leaders, as they gather to support both W.E. Care for Kids and the Windsor Spitfires Foundations. The 2018 event raised over $170,000 for local children’s health initiatives, the planning committee hopes to see a similar result with this year’s event. The event is nearly sold out, limited quantities of individual tickets are still available through the W.E. Care for Kids office at 519-985-2608.

This year’s Black Tie Tailgate is sponsored by Cypher Systems Group, The Stephanie & Barry Zekelman Foundation, Universal Health Products, Omega Toll Corp., The Spidalieri Family, Amico Affiliates, as well as many other great community partners.

The Windsor Spitfires Foundation goes by the motto "Enhancing Lives, Improving Our Community", the Windsor Spitfires Foundation has raised and donated $498,760 back to local charitable groups and community service agencies around Windsor & Essex County since its inception in 2006. The foundation works closely with a wide range of groups and partners to identify need within our communities, fundraising through charitable events on a year-round basis.

The Windsor Essex Care for Kids Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of children in Windsor and Essex County through fundraising initiatives. Since 1997, W.E. Care for Kids has raised more than $8.2 million in support of equipment for paediatric programs and services at Leamington District Memorial Hospital, Windsor Regional Hospitals, John McGivney Children’s Centre, the Windsor Essex Therapeutic Riding Association and Ronald McDonald House Windsor.

To help residents be as prepared as possible, regional municipalities and the Essex Region Conservation Authority will co-host a series of information sessions to:
