St. David's Family Gym

All families in the community are welcome!

St. David's Family Gym is where we offer free basketball play time for families of any dynamic! All parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, tikes, 'tweens and teens are welcome! Basketball skills are not required... just bring your love for each other and have fun! Here's the plan:
  • 1st Saturday of every month from 2:00 to 3:30 pm at Gordon Public School in Welland (500 metres west of St. David's Church).

The Deep Cut Film Festival brings the world's coolest short films (and some homegrown classics) to beautiful downtown North Bay. Join us at the Kennedy Gallery on January 25 for an international cinematic extravaganza! Film fans will not want to miss this event! Our first show runs from 2:30 to 4:30, and the evening show runs from 7:30 to 9:30. Both shows are different, and there is an intermission for each. Doors open half an hour before showtime, and admission is pay what you want at the door. Cash only please!

Northumberland Fire & Frost Festival is back! Check out our website with a full schedule of activities: Dalewood Golf Club, Green Canoe Outfitters and William Street Beer Co. are joining forces to present the 2nd Annual Northumberland Fire and Frost Festival. This is a family friendly weekend of outdoor activities, amazing food and drink and live music all within the picturesque backdrop of Northumberland County. Admission is FREE during the day.  Outdoor activities include snowshoeing, cross country skiing, tobogganing, skating and hiking the property. Bring your own equipment if you have it. Dalewood will be featuring a full breakfast buffet both days from 9-12pm and lunch menu from 12-4pm. Kids Menu will also be available. The Fire & Frost Fiesta Concert - Doors 6pm. bands start at 7. We're excited to be featuring Garage Dog & Storm the Palace. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Kids under 12 are FREE. Feeling hungry during the concert? Rey Ray's is taking over Dalewood for the Fiesta to serve up made to order tacos, churros and everything delicious as we turn up the heat! You'll want to cool down with refreshing beer from William Street Beer Co.

Aidan Duchene Live at the Chatham Granite Club February 21st, 8-10pm. Aidan Duchene is a grade 11 student at UCC from Tupperville. She plays acoustic and electric guitar, and ukulele. Last March, she entered the CBC Next Gen Juno competition with her original song "Small Spaces" which dealt with her feelings of anxiety and depression. Her song was chosen as the winner, and she was invited to perform her song live on CBC Afternoon Drive with London band, Texas King. She has planned an evening of eclectic and well-loved musical covers for your listening pleasure in the Granite Club's Dominion Lounge. This event is FREE! For those wishing to curl this evening in their Pay-As-You-Play league, please e-mail to have your name added to the list. This is a jitney format of curling.
