October is child abuse prevention month. This FREE training is open to all child care providers, teachers, parents, guardians, and youth workers. Registration for these workshops is mandatory. We will be offering the session 5 times.

Join us at Tilbury Branch, Chatham-Kent Public Library with members of the Tilbury Fire Station 19 for a night of stories about firemen, fire trucks and fire safety. 

 

The fun starts at 6:00 pm with the library staff reading stories and doing activities.  Families then go stay outside (dress for the weather please) and talk with the firemen and tour the fire truck.

Community Event - Chatham - Edgar Allan Poe, Live In Chatham

A reading of the famous poem (The Raven) and the horrifying short story (The Facts In The Case Of M. Valdemar), together with a brief biography of Poe. It will last approximately 45 minutes. 
 

The event will take place four times on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31:

* 2 p.m. in the Library Café at the Chatham Branch of the C-K Public Library, 120 Queen St

* 5:30 p.m. at Cup Of Joes, 131 King St W.

* 7:30 p.m. at the William Street Café, 28 William St S.

* 9 p.m. at Friendz Restaurant and Lounge, 216 King St W.

Admission is free. Food and drink are available at all venues. The reader is Clair Culliford.

Public Announcement - Chatham - #CKKeeping150 - 150 hour vigil at Chatham Cenotaph

Calling on all organizations/businesses/services groups to gather a team of 8-12 to stand/sit vigil for 3 hours during Veteran's Week - Nov 5-11th. 

From 6am Nov 5 to12pm Nov 11th, in a world where divisions are being made every day, we want to show Chatham-Kent united as one as we #CKKeeping150 - 150 hours vigil at the Chatham Cenotaph in this 150th year of Canada, 100th Anniversary of Vimy, 75th Anniversary of Dieppe.  During this time, Christ Church Chatham will be opened, where hot beverages and food will be provided to participants, thanks to Revera Retirement Living - Ridgetown & Blenheim.  

Show your support of soldiers, sailors and airmen, who paid the ultimate sacrifice to give us this great country we have today.  Let's honour our history, embrace the future.
