The Kingston Humane Society has resumed adoptions for dogs in need of a forever home.

VOCEC operates a small businesses in Kingston including cafés, landscaping, a car wash, catering, a print shop,assembly/packaging, warehousing, distribution and cleaning. Together these ventures employ over 75 people living with mental illness.

Awesome Kingston gives away a $1,000 no-strings-attached microgrant each month at a public pitch party to make an awesome idea come true. At the pitch party, finalists take the stage to give a 90-second 'elevator pitch' and take questions from the trustees and audience. Elder abuse awareness day is June 15. Since 2006, communities throughout the country and around the world have honoured this day to raise the visibility of elder abuse by organizing events to share information and promote resources and services that can help increase seniors’ safety and well-being.
